1996 fourwinns fling alarm problem

i have a 1996 fourwinns fling with a 115 hp (omc, evinrude) motor i took out for the first time saturday and it ran great for about a half hour. when i was headind back to dock an alarm started sounding maybe every 30 secs. i was wondering what all could set off the alarm ? and how to decide witch it is thank you.

I don't know anything about VRO's on later model engines, but I thought if I posted, it would bump it to the top. I did find this in the Topic: F. More about VRO.
