1975 135 hp johnson wont start

Hi I am a new boat owner and am trying to get my boat up and running. I bought this motor a 135 johnson 1975 for 500 and I still cannot get it running. I have redone the carbs. Replaced the water pump. Changed the timer base, and put on a new timer. It was running ok for a while and now it is just sitting in my drive way. I got it to turn over the other day with starter fluid and reving the throttle. Now it wont even do that any ideas are greatly tryed and praised.

sorry that last part put on a new timer is supposed to be put on a starter.

Go to the Engine FAQs, Travis.<br /><br />"Outboard wont start" should get you going.<br /><br />Welcome aboard, good luck, and let us know what you find. :)
