pontoon boat and motor?

I have decided to buy a Crest Sport 20' Pontoon boat and a 60hp 4-stroke motor. Does anyone have a preference to a Mercury Big Foot, Yamaha, Johnson, Suzuki, or ? I want to get the best motor possible for the money. I plan to run it in the intercoastal and fresh water. Any help would be appreciated.

Go with JOHNSON,,, they last the longest and if there is ever a problem , there are more people who work on them and more parts available that are not expensive

I have three boats all with Johnsons. One is a 20ft pontoon with 70 Johnson. If I were to buy a new motor it would be a Yamaha. :eek:

I bought my 2nd new pontoon in Sept . First , I'd recommend a 4-stroke, and it would be either a Yamaha or a Merc.. Previous pontoon '99 model had a 80 hp Yamaha 4-stroke, new boat '02 has 90 hp Merc 4-stroke which has Yamaha power head.
