I just picked up a 2nd 1992 35HP Seahorse. I would like to run 2
of these motors on boat. Dealer told me there is no known way
to link motors for steering, Please tell me he is wrong!!

Re: twin 35hp steering

Technically you'd need two different mountng holes on the steering arm of at least one motor. One for the steering cable link, the other for a tie rod to the other motor. If that doesn't exist, I'd imagine something could be fabricated to accomplish the job.

OR...
Sounds funny, but if you get a dual helm, one cable can go to each motor. That would require no fabrication, but you'll have to switch the tilt tube around on the port motor to allow for port entry of that cable (sort of a mirror-image thing). And that cable will have to go around that side of the boat and will probably be a few feet longer than the other. Most dual cable helms will allow this but not the flat racks that have two cables from a single rack.
