I just purchased a '87 Champion w/a Johnson 112 and was running great at 1st. Starting bogging down occasainly for a day or two but would usually run fine after a little fuss'n. Then and now, it starts right up and runs fine for the 1st 300 yards then starts to bog down like it is hurting for fuel. The boat did sit for a year and a half, so I put some fuel cleaner in tank. Which did do me any good. <br />I also replaced most of the fuel lines and found some cracked and split lines and thought for sure that it would be the fix but NO. Thinking at this point it might be the Fuel pump, I took off the filter and found some oil residue the I cleaned out. Planning on replace both but can not find a pump any where. If any one knows where I can locate one or if it might be something else it would be much appreciated!!! In the mean time hope you have a good day on the water. If any of you are Bass Fisherman check out our sight: Tackle Warehouse

Hey Corey, welcome aboard. Well since it was sitting for a year and a half, I'm guessing that there was fuel sitting in those carbs for as long. I'd bet you have gummed up carbs and they could use a rebuild.

Use only fresh fuel, too. Don't mix the old with new...Replace the primer bulb also...
