Are parts for this 1969 vintage Mercury still available?

I am looking for Part No. A-54640A1 Shaft Assy, shift (short shaft)

I have gotten parts for Mercs that old from my local Merc dealer. Many he has in stock and I think virtually all are available. They are not cheap, though. If you check other posts on this board or run a search on your browser you will find other sources, too.
