hi, i own a 25 hp johnson motor about 1974. this motor has been modified with parts of 1970 model (low tension and high tension coil are the same one). I have no electrical output on the motor. ther e is an external power outlet on motor side with yellow lead. this lead has been cut. As someone an idiee to connect electrical accessories on the motor.<br />thanks

Welcome Stephane! Pardon, mon college francais est terrible.<br />If your engine has been converted to the 1970 magneto ignition system, it will no longer generate low voltage battery power. That power was carried by the yellow lead, so that is the reason it has been cut.<br />Are you having trouble with the high voltage system that powers the spark plugs as well?<br /><br />As for the acessories, we need to know what colour wires you have now, and what you plan to connect them to. If you plan to use a key switch, you need to use one that's made for an outboard.
