need to know proper fuel mixture for 1971 johnson 100hp

i'm not sure what mixture to use for gas and oil, and as a matter of fact i really dont know anything about this motor so any help and ideas would be appreciated greatly.. and yes i already understand that its a gas burner

Mix is 50:1 Jon....16oz oil for 6gal of gas. <br /><br />If you really want to learn about the engine, get an OEM service manual. You can get these in reprint form from Ken Cook Co. or ishopmarine. Both have sites and you can order on line.<br /><br />I think the best advice for this engine is to always keep a top notch battery in the boat to start and run her with. The amplifiers hate low voltage and can die with a little less than 11 volts.<br /><br />The forum is open 24/7 if you have any questions about the engine.
