I have a Seagull 5HP which produces a strong telltale of colling water. I just replaced the impellor in my newish 4Hp Yamaha (and scraped out the accumulated salt which was restricting the water flow to a trickle, and now that too has a strong telltale. However, on my newly purchased 1994 Johnson 6HP, the tell tale is not much more than a dribble, yet there is a fair amount of water coming out of an area just at the top of the shaft casing, at the rear of the motor. Is this correct, or should the tell tale stream of water be strong as well?
