This exactly the same setup that I have. It gets to. I have a 1448 with a 69'- 25hp Rude.

20 years ago we ran a Johnny 33 on a 14 craft.
Ran our real nice; as a matter of fact, it seemed like the right match....had side console steering and remote throttle/shift to boot. Real nice rig.

Mark

Is this a Jon or a utility? And whether it is safe depends on the demensions of the boat my 2003 catalog shows a base 14 rated at 15 hp.and another rated for 25.If there is no capacity plate one way to figure it is compare the demensions to the catalog boats.

I have an FD alumacraft with a 40 EV. Did have an A alumacraft with an 18 Johnny. All the F models I see around here run 25's (W. Tn.).

Catch 'em and eat 'em!!!

I've got a 20 Johnson on a 14 ft Grumman Deep Fisherman. Tiller control. Rated for 25. Works great.

The craft we ran was the original rolled aluminumd (sides rolled into the bottom in one piece) 14' with 15" transom, a real tiny splashwell....but it was a functioning splashwell, and cast alum corners/bowsprit.

That was the days before BIA (I guess, had never heard of them) and we didn't know better....but it was fun and didn't run out like the big rigs of today....maybe we did 35.

Mark
