Default Evinrude with ureadable model number

Hi,I just bought a 120 HP V4 evinrude (supposedly a 1991) serial number is: M or W (unreadable) 1738847Model number either: Bl or BE and then b2011ccaI went to the Evinrude site(Ken Cook) but I can't find anything that matches my info. Is there anyone who does know what this could or should be?I need them because I want to find out What sparkplugsand I would like to know how old my engine is.thanks

1991 120 Evinrudes have the following model numbers...120TLAI, 120TLEI, 120TXEI. Your numbers must be casting numbers or something. Can you post a picture of it? Evinrude graphics change from year to year and somebody might recognize it by the decals and paint.

Yeah those are the numbers I got on the net as well... I'm in France at the moment, but I'll post a picture as soon as I get back home.(is that a possible here?)The numbers I found where on the part that holds the motor to the transom... is that where to look? or should I look elsewhere for my engine numbers?

I had a motor with numbers wore off and I found them on softplugs on the motor,,,little silver plugs on the heads somewhere.

The letters CC near the end of the model number may mean that it is a 1988 model. No matter what year, the 120 takes the Champion QL78YC plugs.The B in front of the model number usually means it was manufactured in OMC's Belgium plant.
