i have a 50 hp 1971 johnson electric shift. my throttle cable either came loose or broke inside my shifter control box. the throttle control just moves back and forth over the cable without moving it. the cable runs all the way to the front of the control box but does not have anything on the end of it to stop it from sliding through the throttle control. how is it suppose to connect or is their a way to to tighten it. i do not have a manual. i would appreciate any help.
