Just wanting to get some opinions on this.

My dad used my boat over the weekend and went to fill the right tank, he dumped 32oz's of oil in the tank then only had enough fill space to pump 7 or so gallons (faulty Fuel gauge)and I never told him that the tank had gas in it already leaving the mix about 5 gallons short.

I am wondering if it is best to just use the tank and burn off 5 gallons or so and then add 5 gallons on top or if I should just siphon off the entire tank and refill and re-mix from scratch.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'd just run it a little rich until you can add some gas....Won't hurt anything...

Just run it as is. You'll just have a little smoke.I wouldn't do too much trolling as it may foul the plugs though not likely.

Don't run it down and then add 5 gals of gas or the mix will be to lean. AS is the mix is rich but if you burn 5 gal of mix and then add 5 gal of gas the remaining oil in the tank won't be of the same ratio as it should be. Like Steelspike says just run it as is... much better to rich than to lean!
