Need picture '83 50hp

Just picked up an '83 50hp evinrude but need to still hook up shift cable. Seems to be missing a part but can't tell. Would someone please post a pic of the section of the engine from the front where it is cut out to where it hooks up? I will be going through my local dealers microfish on Monday. Already changed water pump and put carb kits in. Looks pretty sweet for 600 bucks.

Maybe you could post a pic of the area you are talking about and someone can help identify the problem...

I'll try. I don't have a digital camera but I will get a buddy out here with his and post what I can. Basically it is the area where the throttle and shift cable come in to where the shift cable hooks up.
