My tilt and trim will not work unless the key switch is in the run position. Even the remote switch located at the bow of the boat. I even applied 12v to the blue and green leads at the bow and nothing, unless the key switch is on. Anybody have any suggestion on where to look now? I want to be able to raise the motor while fishing, and not have to turn the key on. Thanks, Rudy. And I'm getting a service manual within the next few weeks. Gotta have one of them.

Re: Question on tilt&trim

Ken Cook Company in Milwaukee can send you the original manual for your engine. There was an OMC service bulletin out on this in the 1983-84 timeframe. The bulletin described how to circumvent this problem by adding a wire and fuse in the relay box under the cowling. This was fixed in later models. Your dealer may be able to retrieve it for you.
