Hello,

Can anyone tell me what parts if any from a 1971 50HP Johnson Mod#50ESL71S are interchangable to a 1973 50HP Evinrude (Lasrk) Mod# 50372R?

Want to use parts from the Johnson for the Evinrude.

Thanks

Welcome to iboats,

That covers alot of territory, maybe if you could be more specific as to which parts it might help.

You could always go to the BRP site http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E
, you can cross reference between the two motors using the diagrams and parts lists

How about the power head, or any components of the lower unit? Carbs?

Good link, I see at least a float assembly is the same, some parts are some parts are not. Great :)

Re: Evinrude/Jonshon compatability

Once you locate specific p/n's you can use the advanced feature (located where it says normal) and type in the p/n and it will show all models where that part was used.
