As I can do nothing but think about getting back to my boat in the spring I have a new question.

In theory, how far out can the timing get when you change both a pp and a tb.

I checked the timing last summer, but as winter crawls along, I'm second guessing my findings.

Perhaps I sheared a flywheel key and am not getting an accurate reading. No, I did not verify the pointer like I was supposed to. I realize that was a stupid omission in the procedure.

I did make a nice piston stop tool this weekend out of a 3/8 bolt and an old spark plug. The first decent day we get in March I'm going to Maine to start over.

Just curious about how many degrees it could have changed by replacing ign parts. 2, 5, 20? What's the most you've seen?

Just me posting this displays my boredom level
