I have a 175 ocean pro, although mine is the Johnson twin! Manufactured in 2001 and so far after nearly 500 hours of skiing no problems at all, I rebuilt the water pump at 200 and 400 hours and I change the gear oil every 50 hours. Reasonable fuel consumption considering the power output and it definitely has more bottom end than my old 2.4 efi merc and has a great top end as well, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. Buying a used outboard is always a lottery though.
