Lower Unit Removal

Hello. I am trying to remove the gearcase on a 1967 Johnson Super Seahorse Selecta-Matic 80 hp. Model #v4al-19m. Serial #12836073. I have got it partially off but something seems to be holding it in place. Any help would be appreciative. Thanks.

Selectramatics have 12V electrical wires running from the powerhead area to the gearcase. They run down the "leg" between the exhaust column and the outer shroud. They need to be disconnected at the "quick connect" clips, released from their clamps, and coaxed out. Don't yank or you'll damage them. Have you taken care of these wires yet or could they be what's holding you up?
