top plug is intermitently missing. will run on bottom plug only, will run about 4 beats on the top plug only. got a cylmer from santa, a roll of T.P. would be just as useful. manual doesn't show gap for plugs. swapped coils from top to bottom, top still misfiring.

1. Make sure you have a healthy cylinder. Compression?<br /><br />2. Use the right plugs. Use Champion only. I believe they are JC-4's. Gap to .040".<br /><br />My '75' 50 did the dame thing. The bottom cylinder was running way to rich. I merely adjusted the idle jet. It is behind the plastic plug on the air silencer.
