I have a 1975 Johnson 50 with the standard OMC control box.

I want to install a kill switch.

Which wire do I cut to install the kill switch leads?

No need to cut any wires. Simply run a wire from the black/yellow "M" terminal of the ignition switch to one terminal of the kill switch, then a wire from the other kill switch terminal to ground.

Hey DJ, I have a new Sierra lanyard 18-1282 (398602)that's still unopened if it will work on the kill switch you're installing. It's doing me no good hiding in the kitchen junk drawer if you're interested.

Mike

DJ,

Have you had any success on a T&T unit for that motor?

MCM,

No, I've pretty much resolved ,to myself, that I'm going to go with a CMC unit.

The TNT units of that vintage were rare and parts are even more so.
