Adding a telltale and/or pressure guage

I have a 1975 50 HP Johnson.<br /><br />Mod.# 50ESL75B<br />Ser.# E4265230<br /><br />I believe I have a head gasket leak so I'm going to have the head off anyway. It would be a good time to drill and tap, if that's where it goes.<br /><br />Suggestions?

I would think you just need to get into any water passage, but there won't be enough pressure to read-water just flows through, and a tell tale would divert needed cooling water. Just a guess on my part......
