1990 evinrude outboard compression

I am currently interested in purchasing a 1990 evinrude 115 with a 20" shaft length. The gentleman selling this motor says it has a compression reading of 90-100 on all 4 cylinders. Is that about average? If so is it worth $800.00? Thanks for your time!

If all 4 are within that range the compression is acceptable, Ron.<br /><br />I would want a demo, under load if possible, to show that the ignition and carburetion systems are also good and I would check the lower end lube for water.<br /><br />If it passed all that I would think $800 is a pretty good price.<br /><br />Good luck, and welcome to iboats. :)
