I recently purchased a 60 hp Evinrude E-Tech outboard. It is exhausting considerable white smoke and/or steam from the above water exhaust port. The dealer after inspecting it twice, tells me that there is nothing wrong with the motor. Are there any E-Tech owners out there who would be willing to let me know if they are experiencing similar exhaust?
<br /><br />How cold is the water you're operating in? Air temp? Cold weather/water will cause steam wheras warmer weather/water won't. Warm moisture-rich exhaust from the motor meeting cold air will certainly do it. High humidity can be a big contributor as well. The environment may be at "fault", not the motor.
