evinrude 5.5 wont run ,carb problem?

i have a 5.5 hp evinrude fisherman and it wont run below full throttle and im wondering if this is a carb problem? i have cleaned and replaced the seals and still nothing it doesnt even sputter a bit it just cuts right out as soon as you touch the throttle and the idle needle is set right. any ideas or things i cuold try? thanks. fishmonger

I'd clean the carb and put a kit in. It's easy and fairly quick. When it quits, does it still produce good spark.

the spark is ok at all times and i have cleaned and rebuilt the carb but still nothing. could you give me a list of posibillities that could be stopping it from running at any thing below full thottle? thanks. fishmonger.33
