'59 Johnson 35 & '59 Evinrude 35

I have a '59 Johnson RD21 S/N 1860658 and a '59 Evinrude Lark 35516 S/N 03342, both 35HP I think. Are these essentially the same engines, parts interchangeable? They look identical to me.

Yes they are, not essentially but absolutely. Only the paint is different.
