Does my 88 spl have a battery charging system?

The motor is a 89 not sure if it has a charging system or not. I am running duel batt. and the humming bird says the voltage during the trip was at 12.9. is this what it should be? Also what dose the charger look like? and how often should I charge my batteries? Thanks for the help trying to learn about my motor.

Yes it does. That voltage is fine if your batteries are good and charged up The charge system is regulated and if your batteries don't need a charge the system just maintains them.<br />The charger itself is part of the stator and is under the flywheel. You can't see it.
