I started both of my V4s at home yesterday as I had planned to take the family down to the Keys for some snorkeling at the reefs off of John Pennycamp State Park today. I connected only battery #2 and turned both master battery switches to bat 2. Both engines started just fine however both tachometers were way - way off - mostly on the high side and not responding normally to changes in rpm. Since both engines ran just fine I decided that we would go.<br /><br />Today I connected both batteries as I usually do and turned both masters to ALL. The engines ran fine and the tachometers seemed to operate normally. Any ideas???
