I recently aquired the motor and prior to running it serviced the lower end, changed the head gaskets, new points, plugs, rotors.

Motor starts and idles like it was new but when you throttle up there is no power.

The motor does not overrev. I have checked the prop and the electronic shift seems to lock up without slipping.

Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum!

Have you checked the timeing. If thats ok then I would guess you will need to clean carbs real good.

Clean with engine tuner and blow out real good with compressed air. Also remove welch plugs.

Also check real close for air leaks along your fuel line connections.

Good luck.
