1974 Evinrude 115hp not running

I put fuel down the spark plug holes and runs until there is no fuel. I checked and there is fuel after the fuel filter but not getting to the spark plugs. Can you give me any ideas on where to go next?

Does your primer bulb pump up firm? If so check your fuel pump.

Need more to go on. Did you just acquire the engine?? Sounds like the engine sat for a long time. Did you squeeze the primer bulb and does it get firm? Is the choke working? When were the carbs rebuilt last? What I'm leading up to is to make sure all of this stuff is working, and if it is, chances are the carbs need a thorough cleaning and rebuilding. The inlet needle and seat may be stuck shut, high and low speed jets and passages clogged, or you may simply have a bad fuel pump.

:D <br />Thank you, this motor sat for about 2 years (when I bought it) and I'm finally getting around to use it. It did start but backfires some, hopefully after it runs awhile the kinks will work out. I do appreciate your help!

Thank you, I bought this about 2 years ago and now getting around to put it to use. The engine did start it is backfiring hopefully after running for awhile it will settle down. Thanks for your help

gmitzel, I work in Brownwood, but I have some relatives that live in Brady.<br />It sounds to me like you need to do a carb rebuild. Also start with fresh fuel and possible you will need to replace the primer bulb.<br />If you cant get it running let me know, maybe I can look at it for you.
