Check that model number for sure and I can give you information on the plugs, etc, and info on where you can find service literature. If they're fouling either their too cold or you're running too rich. If the carb is flooding it may be time for a rebuild. If you've found the float inside it is crumbling, there's a fix for it. Try to save the gaskets, etc, so you don't have to cut your own.<br /><br />Compression should be around 90psi or better, but it doesn't matter if it's somewhat less. The main thing is that it's even between the cylinders.
