i need help with a power tilt lift for a 1974 85hp evinrude. the boat has set up for about 9 years and the power lift on the motor doesnt work .i do have power going to the unit but nothing is happening when i work the switch up or down. with a test light i see that i have power to unit when i press tilt switch up and then down , there are three wires , 2 power and 1 ground . is it hard to tear into one of these units? does it work by using brushes? i hope its just stuck and that i can clean it up with no problems. any help would be appreciated. thanks tlwilkes.
