the original tilt motor for my 40hp johnson crapped out on me last year. oddly enough, it would still push the motor up but wouldnt let it back down. a local mechanic removed it when i took it to him and told me it was no good. is it possible to rebuild these motors? anyone know where i can find something relatively cheap? how much am i looking at for a job like this?
