Evinrude 115 hp 2003 4 cylinder//What color wire goes to the actual gauge from the temp sender on the cylinder? Plan to install a Teleflex temp gauge and do not know what color wires to use..Thanks.

Are you just now installing the gauge or is this an existing but non-functioning gauge and you are attempting to fix it? If its already installed, look at the wire color on the temp sender on the engine. If you are installing a new gauge, a new temp sender is also required. It doesn't matter what wire color you use as you string a new one from the sender to the gauge. The stock sender wire color is tan. But that sender typically does not work with a gauge as its merely a temperature sensitive switch (on or off). Temp gauges work using a variable resistance sender.
