I recently purchaced a boat with what I belived was a Evinrude 65 hp outboard. The model # on the name plate is 55972a and the serial # is jo1732. I looked up the model # on the internet according to that page I actualy have a 1969 55 hp engin. Im thinking that I have a 55 hp with a 65 hp hood. I am hoping someone out their could confime this or point me in the right direction before I start buying parts.<br />Thanks for any help.
