I'll know for sure tomorrow if I really got lucky today. Picked up a 20HP Johnson- mid 70's vintage for $150.00. Looked like the previous owner had hit a rock and took a small chunk of prop out. In the process, also took out the shear pin and the shift fork jumped out of position.

Got it home and found everything loose. Includi
ng flywheel. This after the woodruf key sheared off while on first test run.

Put shift fork in place, torqued down flywheel, sandblasted plugs. The motor runs awesome (for a 20 hp), in a garbage can full of water.
Shifted to foreward and blew out 1/2 the water from the can.

Going for a test run on the Fox River tomorrow.

Will keep you guys and gals posted.

If all works right, I'll have an 18 HP Evinrude Fast twin for sale.

Edited for speeling
