Got a carb rebuild kit, the Bombardier high priced one, from a dealer. The kit does not have a rubber cam follower! The one on my carb now has a slight groove worn in it. Is it possible to relpace this with a nylon bushing of the same or close to same size?

Bednick, I don't know about the 5hp, but I just had to order one for my 60 'rude. That little rubber bugger was about 6 bucks! Also, be very careful not to lose the little rubber O ring that holds it on. They did include one of them with the new cam follower. Hope this helps.

O ring? My rubber bugger is held on by top and bottom nylon bushing/washers and a circlip. Am going to try a nylon bushing to replace the rubber bugger- it is same size except about .050 inch larger diameter.
