I have recently had the stringers, gel coat and webbing redone on my Carolina skiff and the guy covered up my Little plate/tag stating max hp rating, weight etc. Any ideas on how to get a new one? Contacting Carolina Skiff is like calling Prez. Bush...

First, have a word or two with anyone stupid enough to do this. Did he really cover it or did he remove it and forget to reinstall it?

Second, the only place you're going to get an original plate is from the manufacturer. If you can't get them on the phone, e-mail or write them a letter. A local dealer might be able to help you.
