You don't say whether your trying to wire an ignition switch or the engine, but here are the wire functions.<br /><br />red - battery positive (fused at engine)<br />black - battery negative<br />grey - tachometer<br />tan (brown) - engine overtemp alarm<br />purple - 12vdc only with ignition switch on<br />purple/white - engine choke<br />yellow/red - engine start<br /><br />and if really black/yellow - engine stop (never allow positive dc voltage on this wire)
