This is an electric shift. My guess is that it will not shift into neutral. When the motor turns over the prop turns as well. If you shift it from forward to neutral it turns one way when attempting to start. If you shift from reverse to neutral it turns the other way when starting. I do not know much about working on outboards but would love to get this baby going. I was told it was running less than a year ago. Quite a few of the wires within the motor are exposed. I'm ready to start, anyone with advise?
