1071 100HP Johnson Starting Troubles

Hi,<br /><br />I have a 71 Johnson 100HP and starting is terrible. It will go with a direct connect to the starter from a battery but not else. Also it will not seem to go into Neutral, it runs in full go only..This is the biggest problem. Any suggestions on a correction. Please Help!!! <br /><br />Thnanks

Welcome to the forum!<br /><br />Get ah OEM manual, We could all sit here and type our fingers to the bone trying to figure this motor out. <br /><br />The manual will have diagrams and pictures to help you out. Then if you have further questions,somebody on this forum can tell you the straight of it all.<br /><br />Probably not me....but somebody!<br /><br />Good luck!
