I have a johnson 140 ML 
78 it has been working get up till today. It runs good up to about half throttle, then it seems as if the transmission just disengauges and the motor just starts to rev up. There is no klunk or other noise when this happens. I read the other posts to russe in July. I was unsure if the fix could be the same because the motors are different.
