I have a 1990 GT150 Johnson.last spring started getting alarm after 10 min run would go and come with engine rpm change,would start soft and get loud,started with vro pump,then water pump and thermostats,then oil tank assy complete,pulled fuel tank and checked vent tube and all filters,it finaly droped a cylinder and found a blown head gasket,thought for sure that would fix the problem,but guess what same thing,any ideas.

Welcome to iboats slab!<br /><br />From you discription of the alarm....starts soft and gets louder....I would think the horn module is bad.<br /><br />The alarms you should have are....<br /><br />Continuous alarm.....overheat or restricted or no fuel flow.<br /><br />1/2 sec tone every 20secs' or so.....low level in oil reservoir.<br /><br />Urgent 1/2 sec every 1/2 sec tone......restricted or no oil flow.<br /><br />If yours is something different, I would look at the horn module itself or a possible short in the alarm wiring.
