Water pressure question

I recently purchased an '86 70hp Johnson. I hooked it up to my old 0 to 15 lbs. water pressure gauge. At wide open, with the motor down, the gauge is pegged above 15#. With it jacked up, it maxes at 15# WOT. What is the pressure range for this model?

While that gauge will work fine it really needs the 0-30 gauge. It'll probably top out around 18-20.

I have a 1978 70hp Johnson and just rebuilt the waterpump and installed a water pressure gauge. Get readings of 22 - 24 psi at WOT and 10 - 12 at idle.
