need help connecting a tachometer to my 1989 evinrude 88 hp. any :confused: help would be great

Hello. This is very easy. Connect + and - to your tachometer, and the pulse-wirer and your tachometer, you shall connect to yellow/gray wirer, at motors terminal board.<br />Regards<br />Duke3

You may have a plug for your tack located under the fast idle lever if you have an OMC control box. My 87 50 hp Evinrude does. Just follow the instructions that come with the tach harness.<br /><br />The unused plug will have a cap over in maybe about the size of a dime.
