Motor has not been used for 3 seasons. Noticed oil apparently coming from below the head down the leg. Removed bolts from the two pieces of cover between the head and the lower unit to access this area but it seems linkages for the gear shift arm and the slow speed needle valve have to be removed.
If I disconnect these two linkages would this free the twin side covers or should I also look for something else?
I have a Clymer Repair Manual but there is no diagram showing what fasteners there are or how to uncasing this section of the motor.
Can anyone help.
