identify the year of johnson

I have been given a older Johnson outboard in good running condition. Model# appears to be MJ75TRLCiM and the serial# is S J5486420. Any help is appreciated.

Model number indicates a 1981 engine, OTH. Could be 7.5 or 75hp, but I don't remember a 75hp rating in 1981.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

It's a 1981 75 hp. 1981 7.5 hp models are E8RCIC and E8RLCIC.
