90 hp motor will not start

1990 90hp johnson on pontoon boat will not start.We have checked fire at plugs and fuel system both seems to be ok.any help?

check for safety or neutral kill switch.<br />check for blown fuse.<br /><br />post back with more info

Go to Engine FAQs,Mike. "Outboard wont start" will troubleshoot it.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

We did a compression check and we have 105/110 at each cylinders.Next thing to check is sheared key at flywheel

You need several things for an engine to run.<br /><br />1. Compression-you have that.<br /><br />2. Spark, at the right time.<br /><br />3. Fuel.<br /><br />One, or more is missing.<br /><br />Being intimately familiar, with that engine, check these.<br /><br />1. Fuse, near starter solonoid.<br /><br />2. Kill switch lanyard.<br /><br />Let us know.
