Bogging a little at low speed acceleration

My 1995 90 hp johnson is boogging at little at low speed under 2500 rpm....but when I come up to full throttle it works great.....any suggestions......someone mentioned to burn high test gas as opposed to regular.....is this the norm????<br /><br />Thank You

This can generally be traced to dirty carbs. 87 octane is fine.
