Hello. Last year I purchased a 1962 Johnson which ran well for most of the season. I was plagued by a fuel connection which was drawing air. Problem solved. This season I'm finding it difficult to find a proper rich/lean mix on the slow speed lever when I have the throttle in the slow position. My only education on this engine is a rare find, along with the purchase of the engine I have the original owners manual in pristine condition. Any relevant advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Molson

In your location, I assume that the engine has sat for a few months during the winter. If so, in all probability the carburetor is somewhat fouled/clogged. Cleaning and rebuilding it should cure that problem.
